There's some interesting stuff.
On the Bisons' roster:
"We had a revision today... Stinson and Gee, they'll probably be there. There will be more moves, critical moves I'd call it."On Kirk Nieuwenhuis:
"I think in the beginning of spring, he was in that funk stage where he was trying to find his timing. He's a timing hitter. It takes him a little bit longer than some guys who can walk right in ... He's got a lot of moving parts. He's a big guy. It takes a little bit longer for his timing."On who's surprised him:
"...Niesen... I had him last year and he struggled. He struggled with his full windup and everything. They've revamped him and gave him a basic slidestep delivery without even worrying about the runner at first base. He threw very well for me the other day. Sharp slider, good fastball that the hitters have a tough time picking up. He kinda turned my head a little bit.Niesen walked 60 and struck out 59 in 77 innings as a starter and reliever for the B-Mets in 2010 on the way to a 5.14 ERA. Will keeping him in the stretch work? It's a great Spring Training change.
