“With their pitching staff, they’re the team to beat,’’ Frazier told reporters (Sept. 28, 2015). “Noah Syndergaard is the real deal. He’s one of the nastiest guys I’ve faced in my four and half years in the big leagues. He's No. 1 or No. 2, for sure. They’ve got Steven Matz, I don’t know how you can’t start that kid. The other two guns with deGrom and Harvey, geez, it’s lethal. The way they’re hitting, they’re rolling on all cylinders right now. Hopefully they can keep it up. It’s fun to watch and at the same time, I’m glad we don’t have to play them 19 games.’’
In his five years in the big leagues, Frazier said he has never faced a starting rotation as good as this current group of Mets.
“I don’t care who they face," he concluded. “If those pitchers bring it like they brought it here, it’s going to be trouble for whoever they’re playing."
