Now Commenting On:

The Orioles are one of at least nine teams with interest in utility infielder Emilio Bonfacio, who officially became a free agent Wednesday.

The Mets looked in to acquiring Bonfacio when the Royals had him on waivers, Sandy Alderson said last week.

Bonifacio, 28, hit .285 with a .352 OBP in 42 games after being acquired by Kansas City this past summer. He has not played shortstop since 2011.
