The Mets expect Neil Walker to return to the club this weekend in Seattle, Terry Collins told reporters Wednesday.
Walker is expected to play third base on Wednesday during his rehab assignment in Las Vegas. Collins added Walker could be an option at first base when he comes back to the lineup.
Walker, who has not played in a major league game since June 14 due to a partially torn hamstring, has five hits in four games during the rehab.
Prior to going on the disabled list, Walker had a .270/.352/.468 slash line with nine home runs and 33 RBIs in 60 games.
