For the second night in a row, the Mets jumped out to an early lead against the Phillies on Tuesday.
Dominic Smith seems to like hitting in Philadelphia, as he took a Jake Arrieta pitch out to left-center for his second home run in as many nights. Smith's shot put the Mets up 4-1.
The first three batters in the Mets' lineup- Jeff McNeil, Pete Alonso, and Robinson Cano- all singled off of Arrieta, putting the Mets on the board first. Michael Conforto then followed up with a sac fly, giving the Mets a 2-0 lead in Philadelphia.
After the Phillies got a run back on a Scott Kingery home run, Amed Rosario answered right back with a solo home run to right field, putting the Mets up 3-1.
