Mets second baseman Jeff McNeil comes off as a nice enough guy, but he sure was tough on Marlins pitcher Robert Dugger on Monday.
In the first game of a doubleheader between the the Mets and Marlins, McNeil hit another first-pitch home run. In total, McNeil's done that nine times this season.
Against Dugger, that homer, McNeil's 14th total of the season, came not only on the first pitch of the game in the bottom of the first inning, but the first pitch of Dugger's career.
McNeil's home run is his third-straight game crushing a hit over the fence after doing so in back-to-back games against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
