The Mets were looking for back-to-back wins heading into Wednesday night's matchup against the Pirates, and the offense certainly showed up to do so.
Wilmer Flores, who was the hero in Tuesday night's extra-inning walkoff victory, launched a solo homer to left field for his sixth on the season in the bottom of the sixth inning.
The Mets got on the board first in the bottom of the third. After an RBI double by Jose Bautista to score Amed Rosario, Asdrubal Cabrera went with a sinker and sent it to left to bring Bautista home. With the base knock, Cabrera collected his second hit of the night as he continues his hot hitting.
