Mets starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard allowed just two hits and one earned run while striking out four batters over 3.0 IP against the Houston Astros on Sunday.
After the game, Syndergaard spoke to media about his mechanics and what's working for him so far this spring.
"I think just confidence, and confidence in my delivery, really," Syndergaard said. "Just trusting it and trying to be as rhythmic as possible."
Manager Luis Rojas went on to talk about what he saw from Syndergaard against the Astros.
"Establishing the fastball, mixing his slider really well," Rojas said. "Once again, from my angle, from third base dugout. ... The difference of velocity, I mean, you saw a lot of swing-and-misses with the slider. ... Great outing, and blending his pitches well."
