Mets outfield prospect Jarred Kelenic debuted in style with Rookie level Kingsport, going 2-for-4 with a homer, walk, and four RBI.
The 18-year-old Kelenic, who the Mets popped 6th overall in last month's MLB Draft, is hitting .420/.464/.660 with two HR, two doubles, and two triples in 13 professional games.
Kelenic was viewed by prospect experts as the best high school bat in the Draft, and will likely come in at No. 1 or No. 2 on the Mets' Top Prospects lists when new ones start popping up.
