Pitchers and catchers officially reported to camp on Tuesday, which means it's the official start to the 2019 season. But many position players have made their way to Port St. Lucie to get early reps in preparation for the first team workout on Feb. 18.
The Mets come into camp with fresh faces all around -- Robinson Cano, Wilson Ramos, Jed Lowrie, and Edwin Diaz to name a few.
And they were all brought in by the team's new GM Brodie Van Wagenen, who has already been boisterous about the team's postseason and division goals this offseason.
With those expectations in mind, the stage is set for the Mets to begin this new era of win-now baseball under Van Wagenen. And everyone is all smiles at the hop between the lines once again to kick off a new year...
