Todd Frazier got things started for the Mets offense on Friday night, blooping a single into shallow center field in the third inning. The hit was Frazier's 1,000th as a big leaguer.
After advancing to second on a Steven Matz sacrifice bunt, Frazier came around to score on an RBI single by Jeff McNeil, giving the Mets a 1-0 lead at Citi Field.
In the fourth, the Mets doubled their lead thanks to Michael Conforto, who hit a no-doubt solo shot to right field. His 29th big fly of the year made it a 2-0 game.
