Wilson Ramos is heating up.
Dating back to May 21, the Mets' catcher entered Sunday batting .382 with a 1.122 OPS and three homers following a meager start to the season, in which it seemed like he was hitting everything on the ground.
That's clearly changed, though. Against Diamondbacks starter Merrill Kelly during his first at-bat of the game in the second inning, Ramos drove a solo shot 414 feet to left-center field. And Ramos knew it right away, with a subtle batflip to cap off putting the Mets on the board.
