Five runs in one inning and seven runs in three ain't a bad start for the Mets.
Against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday, that's exactly what they got. Brandon Nimmo and Todd Frazier played a big part in that.
In that five-run frame, Frazier and Nimmo hit back-to-back home runs to help put New York up in their big opening frame.
The abuse was far from over as Frazier hit two homers and and Jeff McNeil added another later in the game. The Mets also ran starting pitcher Robbie Ray from the mound after the hot start, too.
