Pete Crow-Armstrong, selected by the Mets with the 19th overall pick in the 2020 MLB Draft, will one day play under the bright lights of New York, as the Mets are hopeful he'll be their center fielder of the future.

But when it comes to dealing with the spotlight, Crow-Armstrong should already be a pro.

You see, both of the 18-year-old's parents are actors who know a thing or two about the pressures of being on the biggest stage.

His father, Matthew John Armstrong, is best-known for TV appearances in shows like American Dreams, American Horror Story, and Heroes, among many other roles.

His mother, Ashley Crow, has appeared in movies like The Good Son and Minority Report, but perhaps her most well-known role is that of Jenny Heywood in the baseball movie Little Big League.

Crow plays the mother of Billy Heywood, the 12-year-old who becomes owner and manager of the Minnesota Twins after his grandfather's will bequeaths the team to him.

During Crow-Alexander's introductory conference call following his selection by the Mets, he admitted he loves the movie, and would love it whether or not his mom played a role in it.

"I started hearing about the whole Jenny Heywood thing from other people besides my family when I was around 12. I think at school people thought that was a neat little fact. I love the movie. I think I'd love it if my mom wasn't in it. But she was obviously also great in it. I'm a big fan of the movie."

Crow-Armstrong's parents obviously know how to make it in Tinseltown, and he's now ready to get his career started in the Big Apple.
