Wright, out since April with spinal stenosis, singled in his second at-bat as the designated hiter. He walked his third time up, went from first to third on a hit and scored on a groundout without showing any ill effects.
"Any time you haven't played in a game in a few months, it takes a little bit to get it back, get your legs under you," Wright told reporter Adam Rubin (Aug. 10). "But I thought today was, all in all, a good day."
Wright flew out to center his first time up on the second pitch and popped out to second in his final at-bat.
Wright is expected to play third basse Tuesday for St. Lucie.
