Wright left Saturday's game after being hit by a pitch in the left shoulder, the same shoulder that gave him trouble prior to the All-Star break.
“It just sucks that out of my whole back, it had to be that one area,” Wright said on Saturday.
Terry Collins said he is unsure if Wright will be available for Monday afternoon's series finale against the Cubs.
"David Wright will bounce back, whether it's next week or next year," Collins said of Wright, who received 45-60 minutes of treatment following Sunday's game. "This guy keeps himself in tip-top shape."
Collins told MLB.com the initial injury likely played a role in Wright's slow second-half start.
Wright is batting .238 with no home runs, two doubles and eight RBI in 28 game since first missing time with a sore shoulder before the All-Star break.
