Yoenis Cespedes (shoulder) is back in the lineup as the DH a day ahead of schedule.
Cespedes, who said Tuesday that he was aiming to return to the lineup on Friday, was not concerned with the right shoulder soreness he is dealing with that led to the Mets listing him as day-to-day on Tuesday's injury updates.
"It's something that I'm not worried about," Cespedes said through a translator, adding that his shoulder gets like this at the beginning of every Spring Training because he spends the offseason not throwing.
"I'm used to that," Cespedes concluded. "It's not something I should be concerned or worried (about)."
Cespedes made his Grapefruit League debut on Sunday, going 2-for-3 with a three-run homer.
In addition to Cespedes returning, Jay Bruce (plantar fasciitis) is playing the outfield for the first time this Spring Training. He served as the DH earlier this week.
