The Mets announced some roster moves on Friday, that included reinstating players like Yoenis Cespedes and Travis d'Arnaud back to the 40-man roster.
With MLB free agency officially beginning, it is procedure that players on the 60-day DL this season get reinstated to the roster. Other than Cespedes and d'Arnaud, Juan Lagares, T.J. Rivera, Eric Hanhold and Bobby Wahl were all placed on the roster that has been increased to 38 players.
Also, INF Jack Reinheimer was claimed off waivers by the Cubs, while LHP P.J. Conlon was outrighted to Triple-A Syracuse.
Finally, RHP Rafael Montero and INF Phillip Evans were both outrighted, but have elected to become free agents. RHP Jamie Callahan also became a minor league free agent.
