Now Commenting On:

Zack Wheeler was rocked for seven runs against the Rockies on Friday night.

He pitched only four innings. The start was the shortest of his career and the most runs he's allowed in a single start.

“I honestly didn’t have a clue where the ball was going today,” Wheeler said after the game (NY Post, May 3). “When they did hit it, it just found holes. It’s just one of those days, I got my ground balls, but they just found holes.”

The Rockies have scored 17 runs in two games against the Mets.

“They are swinging the bats great,” manager Terry Collins said. “And guys have to figure out some way to stop them.”
