3:09PM: Glass met with the media on Friday and said (NYR):

  • How has it been for you, "it's been tough. Anytime you are five days quarantined alone it's not fun but it is what is. You get sick and try to hydrate and drink a lot of water and get back when you can."
  • On strength he may have lost, "not too much, whatever I lost can be reattained quickly. I am tired today but that is the nature of going through a full practice for the first time so I am sure I will be fine soon."
  • On the pictures of him, "I thought those were confidential. (Reporter says that AV spoke about them) He spoke about them, I was swollen like crazy. My whole face and neck and chest. It was crazy."
  • Were you scared, "not really. The doctors were all acting like it was normal. It's the mumps, you will feel sore and achy and your face will swell. I expected everything as it came."
  • Did you wonder why it was you, "no, I mean it's...I don't know, maybe I got run down a little bit or was tired when we hit Tampa, who knows where I got it from. It is what it is."
  • On the mumps as a league issue, "I don't know what to say about it. It's one of those things, you pick it up on the Oregon Trail or you go to Tampa, I don't know. Those are the two places that you get it."
  • On his status, "When I first got sick I was hoping to play against Tampa and now you take it as it comes and whatever you feel, you got with that. Today was a good day on the ice, I didn't take the amount of reps as normal."
  • On what he will do this weekend, "I will skate and workout tomorrow, get a full day in and then when the team comes back, practice when the team comes back on Sunday and hopefully play Monday."
1:46PM: Glass will work out on his own this weekend, practice on Sunday and hopes to play on Monday. (NYR)
