Aaron Judge, Gary Sanchez and Gleyber Torres all homered, but Didi Gregorius' fifth-inning grand slam was the big blow to the Dogers in the Yankees' 10-2 victory over Los Angeles on Friday. >> Box Score

Four takeaways from Friday's game

1) With the Yankees leading 2-1 in the fifth, Gregorius came to the plate with the bases loaded and took the first pitch he saw from Hyun-Jin Ryu deep to right field to break the game wide open. Gregorius added a second homer with the game well out of reach, a solo shot in the top of the ninth. The shortstop now has 13 home runs since making his season debut on June 7.

The Yankees swept their doubleheader with the Orioles on Monday, thanks to an 11-8 victory in game two. It's the fifth time in six tries that the Bombers have won both games of a twin bill. >> Box Score

Six takeaways from Monday's game two...

1) When Orioles fans fall asleep at night, they're likely to be haunted by nightmares of Gleyber Torres. After going deep in game one, the infielder launched a pair of three-run home runs in game two and now has a staggering 13 home runs against Baltimore this season. Only Lou Gehrig had more against an opponent in one season, when the Iron Horse hit 14 homers against the Indians in 1936. Torres has tortured the Orioles so much that, with his team trailing by five and runners on first and second with two outs in the eighth, manager Brandon Hyde opted to intentionally walk him.

Yanks explode late for win 00:01:58
Boone, Judge, Sabathia, Gregorius and Hale on Yankees big 6-run 8th inning in their 8-3 win over Tampa

The Yankees rallied late and broke the game wide open with a pair of eighth-inning home runs to defeat the Rays, 8-3, Tuesday night at Yankee Stadium. >> Box score

Five takeaways from Tuesday's game

1) The eighth inning proved to be the deciding one for the Yanks, who trailed 3-2 with Gleyber Torres set to lead off against Colin Poche. The second baseman walked, but Brett Gardner struck out and D.J. LeMahieu lined out hard to right-center. That brought up Aaron Judge, who sent a ball just outside the right field foul pole on the sixth pitch of the at-bat. He made no mistake on the very next offering, however, powering a ball over the wall in right to give the Yankees a 4-3 lead. Poche remained in the game and allowed a single to Luke Voit and a double to Gary Sanchez before intentionally walking Edwin Encarnacion to load the bases for Didi Gregorius. On a 2-1 pitch, Gregorius ripped a grand slam deep into the right-field bleachers to give the Yankees plenty of breathing room.
