Nets guard D'Angelo Russell is active and will play against the Heat on Friday night, via Anthony Puccio of SB Nation.
Russell has missed 31 games since injuring his knee on November 11, which required arthroscopic surgery to fix.
The 21-year-old Russell averaged 20.9 points, 5.7 assists and 4.7 rebounds, all career bests, in 12 games with Brooklyn before undergoing surgery. His 46.3 percent shooting percentage was also a career high through his first three seasons.
The Nets, at 16-29, have slipped nine games back in the loss column of the East's final playoff spot. The Nets' players believed they could push and make the playoffs two weeks ago, though they are 1-6 since then.
Russell faces one of the league's hottest teams in his return, as the Heat have shot up to fourth in the East and have won eight of their last ten games.
