Free agent G J.J. Redick has been working out with Nets' PG Jeremy Lin in Brooklyn, per NY Post's Brian Lewis.
Redick owns a $4.2 million condo he recently purchased in the DUMBO section of Brooklyn, and the Nets are hoping to permanently relocate him to the city as they are interested in signing him.
The 33-year-old is a three-point specialist that the Nets could slip right into their offensive scheme. The Nets shot 31.6 three-pointers per game last season, making 33.8 percent of them. Redick averaged 15.0 points while shooting 42.9 percent from beyond the arc.
The veteran is reportedly seeking $18-20 a year this offseason. The Nets have that cap room with about $30 million to work with. They also added G D'Angelo Russell and C Timofey Mozgov in a trade with the Lakers.
Redick will be entering his 13th season in the NBA next year. He has averaged 12.0 points, 41.5 percent from three, and 88.8 percent from the charity stripe in his career.
