Nets guard Jarrett Jack is out for the season with a torn ACL, the team announced Sunday afternoon.
He will have surgery Monday.
Jack left Saturday's game against the Celtics in the third quarter with right knee sprain (Jan. 2).
Driving down court on a fastbreak, Jack slipped on the court after he tried to control a bounce pass from Wayne Ellington and went down, grabbing his right leg. He was helped off the court and taken to the locker room.
In 22:48, Jack recorded nine assists and scored just two points on 0-for-5 shooting.
He has averaged 13.2 points, 7.3 assists and 4.4 rebounds in 31 games with Brooklyn this season.
