According to him, the Nets are desperate for a win in Orlando tonight. Check back here for your pre-game primer.
“I just have to pick my spots,” Johnson said after yesterday’s practice. “It’s not about how many shots I can get in a game. My main concern is how we gel as a team and our cohesiveness so that we can come together and be one quickly.
“It’s not about one individual or how my stats are ... that’s not my concern.I’m concerned about us getting wins, and right now we need a win bad. So we’ll come with a sense of desperation [tonight], a sense of urgency, and try to get off this little slide we’ve had.”
Johnson has looked a bit lost at times in the first three games and I think that is normal for any player that is thrust into a new environment. It takes time to develop chemistry with teammates.
Avery Johnson has used Johnson as a stable influence on the second unit so far this year and he seems to be taking to that role. The more time Johnson can get on the court with Deron Williams the smoother things will come and with his high basketball I.Q., I don't see that being an issue for very long.
