For the second time this season, the Nets challenged the defending-champion Warriors. However, just like the first time, Golden State emerged victorious in the end.
Steph Curry rode a hot shooting night, including six made threes, to 34 points as the Warriors held off the Nets, 114-101, at Oracle Arena. The loss dropped the Nets to 20-45 and the team has now lost 12 of their last 13 games.
In the first quarter, it appeared to be a laugher. Golden State put together a 25-0 run and led by 16 after one. However, as quickly as they went down, the Nets rose up, outscoring the Warriors 39-13 after that run to take a lead into halftime.
The game remained back-and-forth late into the third quarter, but Curry scored seven straight points in the final two minutes to put Golden State up for good.
D'Angelo Russell finished with 22 points and eight assists to lead Brooklyn while DeMarre Carroll had 19 points to go with seven assists. Kevin Durant scored 19 points for Golden State and Draymond Green finished an assist shy of a double-double. >> Read more
