The Heat kept it close through three quarters, as the Nets clung to a three-point lead entering the final quarter. But Brooklyn pulled away by outscoring Miami by 13 points in the final quarter.
Spencer Dinwiddie contributed 16 points, including four free-throws, two three-pointers, and seven assists. Russell had a solid all-around game, racking up nine rebounds, six assists, four steals, and a block.
Dinwiddie and Russell paved the way for the rest of the team as they combined to make up 13 of the team's 17 assists on the night.
The Nets will travel to Dallas to face the Mavericks on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m.
