Nets head coach Kenny Atkinson received a $25,000 fine for his quick tirade during Friday night's loss to the Pacers, the league announced Saturday.
Atkinson was booked for "verbally abusing game officials and failing to leave the court in a timely manner following his ejection." The call came with 1:09 left in the fourth quarter during a play he clearly didn't agree with. He needed to be held back by his assistant coaches, and Spencer Dinwiddie in the incident.
The loss last night by Atkinson's club snapped the seven-game win streak Brooklyn amassed over the past week or so.
Atkinson will look to stay calm and hopefully lead the Nets to a win on Sunday, when Brooklyn hosts the Suns at 6 p.m.
