Napier has reportedly met with the Nuggets, Spurs, Warriors, in addition to the Nets.
In his college career, Napier appeared in 103 games with the Huskies (started 58) and averaged 12.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.7 steals per game. He made the 2013 All-Big East First Team. In 2013-14, he played in 40 games (all starts) and shot 42.9% from the field.
He may be listed a 6'1 by UConn, but no way. Napier isn't quite six feet tall and he hasn't filled in yet, so despite the fact that he turned plenty of heads en route to UConn's national championship, he probably falls out of the first round, which I'm assuming the Nets are banking on. He's a proven scorer, so I'm sure he will garner a lot of interest, but I think teams will be scared away by his size. Nevertheless, I'd love for Brooklyn be in position to take a chance on Napier. He has a great make up, and could probably learn a lot from the veterans that will carry over onto next year's roster.
