The Nets have signed first-round pick Jarrett Allen to a multi-year contract, the team announced on Thursday.
Allen, 19, was the Nets' 22nd overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.
In his one season at the University of Texas, Allen averaged 13.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game in 33 games. He had 12 double-doubles on the season and is fourth in school history with 278 total rebounds by a freshman.
He shot 56.6 percent from the field last season and scored in double figures 25 times.
Following his freshman campaign, he was named to the All-Big 12 Third Team.
