This was something that made me think that maybe, just maybe, they finally turned a corner and will continue to beat the teams they are supposed to beat in their own house and get themselves on top of the Atlantic division where they belong.
The performance that we all had to sit through last night was simply disgusting and befuddling.
How on earth do you allow the Washington Wizards -- yes those Wizards, losers of four of their last five games -- to come into your building and dominate you on the glass to a point where you get outrebounded 51-31 and gave up and atrocious 19 offensive rebounds? Someone tell me how that happens when you get your best player back from a two-game hiatus in Brook Lopez and in turn you get obliterated on the glass?
To watch it happen was infuriating as it looked the the Nets from November who played with zero heart and passion only to be beat over and over by teams with less talent all around. I thought this team finally found itself in the last two weeks ans started to play the kind of basketball that all of us have expected from day one.
Obviously, that's not the case, and this team still has a long way to go to get me to think they are where they need to be. You can't lose to the Wizards on your home court and get embarrassed because you cant rebound the damn ball with passion.
It's unacceptable. Wake up, Brooklyn, before it is too late!
