from Jimmy Kempksi of Blogging the Beast:

Some of the following statistics below matter. Some may just be a matter of a small sample size. But to me, they?re all interesting in some way, so I thought we?d take a look at some basic statistical nuggets through Week 3:

1. The Eagles and Cowboys have each scored 47 points. That ties them for dead last in the NFL. Meanwhile, the Redskins have scored the most points in the NFL, with 99. The Giants are tied for 3rd with 94.

Jeff McLane of Philly.com ?drained his notebook.? ?He also did this?earlier this offseason. ?There are some really good nuggets in both posts, and his mention of Asante Samuel got some national attention from Pro Football Talk, which then got the attention of Asante himself. ?Here?s what Jeff wrote:

The signing of free-agent Martellus Bennett was met with mixed reviews. Many said a change of venue would unleashed the 6'6" former Dallas second-rounder's potential. Others believe the Giants will stick to the "show me" deal they inked him to in early hours of free agency.

Our NFC East contributor, Jimmy Kempski, was at Giants' minicamp. Bennett did nothing for him except solidify the fears that he will once again not live up to expectations. In fact, Jimmy thinks the Giants won't give Bennett much latitude this summer....
