HOUSTON -- The Villanova Wildcats cruised into their first NCAA championship game since 1985 in record fashion.

Josh Hart went for a game-high 23 points with 8 rebounds and 4 assists and six players reached double-figures in scoring as the Big East regular season champion Wildcats destroyed Buddy Hield and Oklahoma, 95-51, before an NRG Stadium crowd of 75,505 -- including including former President George H.W. Bush and Vice President Joe Biden.

It was the largest margin of victory ever in a Final Four game. The game was so lopsided Villanova coach Jay Wright put three walk-ons in for the final minutes.

Kansas and Oklahoma, who played one of the season's best games last week, remain 1-2 in the men's Top 25 basketball poll by The Associated Press.

The Jayhawks (14-1) beat the Sooners 109-106 in triple overtime. They received all but two first-place votes Monday from the 65-member national media panel. It is the second week at No. 1 for Kansas.

Oklahoma (13-1) drew one No. 1 vote. It was followed by Maryland and Michigan State (16-1), which had the other first-place vote. North Carolina is fifth followed by Villanova, Xavier, Miami, Duke and SMU.

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) -- Perry Ellis had 27 points and 13 rebounds, Devonte Graham hit the go-ahead free throw in the third overtime and top-ranked Kansas outlasted Buddy Hield and second-ranked Oklahoma 109-106 on Monday night in an early showdown of Final Four contenders

Wayne Selden had 21 points and Graham finished with 20 for the Jayhawks (13-1, 2-0 Big 12), who had chances to win the game in regulation and each of the first two overtimes before finally getting it done.

Hield had a career-high 46 points for Oklahoma (12-1, 1-1) -- which entered at No. 1 in the Coaches Poll -- and tied the record for most points by a visiting player against Kansas time. But he made two crucial turnovers in the final extra session, then missed a potential tying 3-pointer at the buzzer as the Jayhawks celebrated.

(AP) -- Kansas and Oklahoma moved to the top two spots in The Associated Press' college basketball poll and the Big 12 schools will meet Monday night.

Kansas (12-1) received 44 first-place votes from the 65-member national media panel on Monday while Oklahoma (12-0) got the other 21.

It will be the 40th time the top two teams in the poll have faced each other.

Payton Pritchard, a 6-foot-2 2016 point guard from West Linn (OR), has decommitted from Oklahoma, according to ESPN.com.

"He just wants to be 100 percent sure," his father Terry, who played tight end for the Oklahoma football team told ESPN.com. "He's a young kid, and we want him to [be] 100 percent comfortable. Kamari Murphy, a 6-foot-8 sophomore post player from Oklahoma State, has received his release from Oklahoma State, New York Lightning coach Dana Dingle told SNY.tv.

A Brooklyn native and former player at Lincoln High School and IMG Academy, Murphy averaged 6.1 points and 6.3 rebounds last season.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Jared Terrell wasn't feeling it a year ago when Brewster (N.H.) Academy lost in the National Prep Championship game to Northfield Mount Hermon (Mass.).

"We was here last year and came down the same road and got to the finals and didn't cap it off," the 6-foot-3 Oklahoma State commit told SNY.tv after dropping 20 points in an 84-61 victory over NMH in the semifinals on Wednesday at Albertus Magnus College. "But I think we have a good enough team to finish it off this year."

A few hours after saying that, Brewster did indeed cap it off, knocking off St. Thomas More (Conn.) 88-77 to win the championship.

Myles Turner is one of the last big-time uncommitted recruits in the Class of 2014 and he will take his next official visit this coming weekend to Oklahoma State, as previously reported by SNY.tv.

"I?m definitely excited to get down there to see the campus and see everything they have to offer," the 6-foot-11 big man from Trinity (TX) Euless wrote on his USA Today blog. Tonight, the Nets conclude their gauntlet of a three-game road trip, when they face the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Chesapeake Energy Arena. The Thunder enter tonight tied for the best record in the NBA at 25-6, including a 14-2 home record that's helped propel them to the top seed in the Western Conference.

HOUSTON -- Former UNLV coach Lon Kruger, a Kansas native and former Knicks assistant, is the new head coach at Oklahoma.

"I have lived in a lot of places, but I was raised in middle America and that has always been home for me," Kruger, who also was head coach of the Atlanta Hawks for three seasons, said in a statement. "We never knew if the opportunity would present itself to get back there, but it did in this case, and it came at a great university."

Oklahoma President David L. Boren said that Kruger was the best candidate for the position. He replaces Jeff Capel, who was fired last month.

Oklahoma State suspended starting forward Darrell Williams on Monday after he was charged with four felony counts alleging he inappropriately touched two women without their consent.

Williams, a 21-year-old junior forward, made a brief court appearance after he was charged with one count of sexual battery and three counts of rape by instrumentation.

He confirmed that four schools are still in the mix for the 6-foot-3, 190-pound shooting guard from Dulles (Texas) Fort Bend: Baylor, Marquette, Oklahoma State and St. John's.

Two of the top point guards in the Class of 2011 have set their visits and are driving toward a decision.

Jabarie Hinds of Mount Vernon (N.Y.) High will take officials to UNLV (Sept. 17), Oklahoma State (Sept. 24) and West Virginia (Oct. 14).

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound Hinds has home visits Thursday with Oklahoma State and Friday with UNLV.

LeBryan Nash has narrowed his list to three schools and plans to announce Oct. 21 on ESPN.

The 6-foot-7, 227-pound small forward from Dallas Lincoln is considering Oklahoma State, Baylor and Kansas. He took an unofficial to Oklahoma State last weekend and has a visit slated to Baylor Sept. 11.

The No. 2 small forward in the Class of 2011 said he "might" visit Kansas Oct. 15 for "Late Night in the Phog" and then plans to announce Oct. 21 on ESPN.

D'Angelo Harrison, a four-star combo guard from Fort Bend (Texas) Dulles, is focusing on five schools at this point.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Harrison listed Texas A&M, Marquette, Baylor, Oklahoma State and St. John's.

Harrison will visit St. John's unofficially Aug. 30 after attending a Five-Star Camp in the New York area.
