Oregon has lost senior guard Dylan Ennis for the season to a broken foot, but his father says no decision has been made about applying for a medical hardship waiver in order to potentially play a sixth season of college basketball in 2016-17.
"Me and Dylan talked [Wednesday] night but we never even talked about that [a waiver]," Tony McIntyre, the player's father, told SNY.tv by phone on Thursday. "We kind of have to get over this first. He had a lot of hopes and things he wanted to accomplish at Oregon this year, so obviously it's a big setback and a big disappointment for him."
McIntyre said Oregon coach Dana Altman has said "he'll support whatever Dylan wants to do" in terms of getting a waiver.
