What's good, everybody? It's your boy LW back doing my second player blog with ZAGSBLOG.

Coming off a 17-day break before the Dick's National Tournament we started off a bit sluggish in the first half of our first game against Wasatch Academy (UT). We picked it up in the second half by stepping up our defense as a team and sprinted to a win. The second game we played a tough Miller Grove team that played hard. We had to grind it out and ended up winning by 1 off of Braxton Key's blocked shot. Going into the championship game against La Lumiere (IN), we were up 18 and then came out in the second half thinking we had already won the championship. We were wrong, they came back on us, and we went into overtime and won at the last second tip-in. I made the all-tournament team averaging 15 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists per game in the tournament. We all were glad to get Coach Steve Smith his first Dick's tournament win.

What's up, everybody? It's your boy LW about to do the first entry of my Player Blog with ZAGSBLOG.

This is my second year at Oak Hill and the season is going great. Right now our record is 33-1. We took a tough loss in our 4th game of the season but bounced back strong, winning 29 games straight. The special thing about this team is that we all buy into playing defense and playing as a team. My coaches pushed us real hard in the preseason which is leading to our team's success. It's never fun waking up at 5:30 in the morning to go run the mile on "the hill," which is not our normal mile lol.

Hey guys! It's Nate Pierre-Louis and I'm writing my first blog ever with ZAGSBLOG today!

This year has been an adjustment for me. Why, you ask? Coming from two prep schools, St. Peter's Prep of Jersey City and the prestigious St. Benedict's Prep in Newark to the two-time New Jersey state champions Roselle Catholic in Roselle, N.J.

I made the jump from Philadelphia, Pa., to Newark, N.J., and I must say, Newark is not that much different than Philadelphia. This move was warranted to prepare me for college in a year both on and off the court. I love it here at St. Benedict's Prep! The faculty and coaching staff treat me great, it's like a second home.

Since the first weekend of the EYBL has come to an end I will give an update on my recruitment and my trip to Germany. For starters I was not in Sac-town last weekend, I was in Mannheim, Germany representing my country at the Albert Schweitzer games.?

We placed second behind Italy with a close game in the final. It's tough to make it all the way to the final and not finish it out right but it happens sometimes. I can take a lot away from the trip, though. I met a lot of awesome people. It was a great experience to be able to play overseas and something that I hope to do again someday.

So far the season has been going well even though we got off to a rough start. During Christmas Break, we traveled to California to play in the Torrey Pines Tournament. We, as a team, spent a lot of time together in California which has helped our team chemistry and it definitely shows on the court.

I?m really looking forward to a great senior year both academically and athletically. Transferring from Xaverian High School in Brooklyn to St. Joseph?s High School in Metuchen, New Jersey, at the start of my junior year has worked out better than I expected.

My transfer was related to a change in my father?s job status. While I have nothing but love for my former teachers, coaches, teammates and classmates at Xaverian, my experience so far at St. Joe?s has been phenomenal.

Hey, everyone and all supporters, what's going on?
Point Guard Jeff Newberry of New Mexico Junior College checking in. Just wanted to give some fans and supporters a little of my background and information on what schools are recruiting me and have offered at this point.

I started my college career at The University Of Mississippi (Ole Miss), where I red-shirted. I then transferred to North Eastern Oklahoma A&M (NEO) in a small town of Miami, Oklahoma.?I met a lot of good people and played with a lot of good players who I still keep in contact with today at NEO. I transferred to New MexicoJunior College this upcoming fall to have the opportunity to play against a higher level of competition and prove that I could do the same in this league that I did in the league that I played in at North Eastern Oklahoma A&M. Another reason I chose to transfer was to further prepare me for that next level in which I feel coaches?James Miller?and?Brian Lohery?do a great job of at New Mexico Junior College. They're very tough on me and demand a lot of me not only on the court, but also off. I take pride in the challenge of becoming more disciplined and becoming a leader for once in my life to the people who look up to me in any form.
