Antti Raanta made 23 of 24 shots for the Rangers last night in their win over Detroit.
Brian Boucher praised Raanta on NBCSN and said that he played "really good," didn't look nervous and looks ready to carry the load for the Rangers.
Boucher called Raanta's game "rock solid" and noted that he made key saves at key times in the Rangers win over Detroit.
Raanta told Boucher after the game that he isn't thinking about the idea of taking on a bigger load with Henrik Lundqvist out and that he is just trying to take things one game and one shot at a time.
Ryan McDonagh told Brian Boucher on NBCSN that the Rangers have a lot of confidence in Raanta, he communicates well with his defensemen and makes the saves to keep the Rangers in games.
Alain Vigneault said after the game that Raanta made timely saves and pointed to one in particular when the game was tied at 1.
