The Rangers have announced that the following players are being sent to Hartford
- Forwards: Ryan Gropp, Malte Stromwall, Adam Tambellini
- Defensemen: Alexei Bereglazov, John Gilmour, Vince Pedrie
- Goaltenders: Alexandar Georgiev, Chris Nell
The Rangers have 38 players remaining in training camp.
Bereglazov played last night for the Rangers against the Islanders and was expected to play tonight against the Devils.
Alain Vigneault said before the game on Friday that Bereglazov is supposed to be more of a defender in the mold of a player like Marc Staal, someone with "good reach and a good stick."
Vigneault said that Bereglazov had to adjust to the smaller ice and that Traverse City, where he was "okay," was a learning curve and that he has gotten better each day of training camp.
Bereglazov reportedly has a clause in his contract that allows him to return to the KHL if he is not on the NHL roster.
He also said over the summer that he was following his dream to play in the NHL.
