Mike Heika tweets that the Stars have traded Jaromir Jagr to the Bruins for two prospects and a draft pick.
Adam Rotter: Jagr has now played for the Flyers, Stars and Bruins since he returned to the NHL. I thought he would end up in Montreal or Detroit, two places he has come close to joining in the past, but the Bruins needed to make a move to compete with the Penguins after Jarome Iginila picked Pitt over Boston.
I don't want to get too far ahead of myself, but Boston is only three points back of Montreal, with a game in hand, and the Rangers could end up in seventh place with the Devils sliding and set up an interesting first round match up.
12:06PM: Larry Brooks tweets "a shame circumstances aren't aligned so that Jagr could return to New York."
11:44AM: Darren Dreger says that the Red Wings were reportedly contenders for Jagr last night but the asking price might be too much. He says that Boston is now the front runner.
11:28AM: Pierre LeBrun reports that the Dallas Stars have decided to trade Jaromir Jagr.
He notes, along with Elliotte Friedman, that Boston is a team that is very interested.
Montreal and Pittsburgh are also teams that are believed to have a high level of interest.
