In a poll of readers, asked yesterday, Vigneault was the top choice with 34.55% of the vote. Eakins was fifth with 6.16%.
12:20PM: Darren Dreger tweets that there is a belief that the Rangers, Stars and Canucks are all willing to be patient in their process of selecting a new head coach and waiting to see if Todd McLellan is let go by San Jose and/or what happens with Dave Tippett in Phoenix.
Dreger assumes that McLellan will get a contract extension from the Sharks and that Tippett, whose contract expires on June 30,
