Alain Vigneault said on Sunday that Chris Kreider is expecting to be at today's Winter Classic to see his teammates.
Vigneault said that he saw Kreider on Saturday at the Rangers practice facility and that he was in "good spirits."
Kreider posted the following on Instagram last night, "Overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and well wishes from friends, family, and the entire hockey and rangers community. Thank you."
Larry Brooks writes that it's expected Kreider will meet with his medical team this week to come up with a plan to "plan to respond to the blood clot in his right arm."
