At Monday's practice, Chytil played on the wing with Kevin Hayes and Mats Zuccarello.
On moving him to the wing, Quinn said "I think it makes the transition to the NHL a little easier on the wing. He has an awful lot of talent, he has had some good nights for us so far but this also gives him a chance to play more for us in a top-nine role where we think he belongs and will help is development." Adam Rotter: There have been all sorts of line changes through the first 10 or so days of the season and Brett Howden's level of play and production moved him up from the fourth line to where Filip Chytil was. Chytil's move to the wing is not going to be long-term, as the Rangers view him as a center, but the minutes at center aren't there for him right now. They could put him in Hartford but the feeling is that he is ready to play in the NHL and that putting him in Hartford would take away some of the big minutes Lias Andersson is playing as he waits to get called back up. At some point Chytil will move back to center but if he is able to take off and produce as a winger, the Rangers may have to reconsider where he fits on the depth chart.
