On his season, Brassard said that he knows the Rangers are being scored on too much when he is on the ice but overall,"I think for going against the top players, I've been doing OK." (NY Post)
Brassard leads all Rangers with 26 goals and is the first center since Michael Nylander in 2006-07 to score at least 26 goals. (Rangers Game Notes)

Adam Rotter: Brassard has had a good season and he is a different player when he unleashes his shot. It's defensively in the playoffs where the Rangers may try and match a Derek Stepan or Eric Staal line against the other team's top players. Staal has the size and experience while Stepan is more reliable defensively. Brassard can handle the role, it's just that the Rangers have depth at center to spell him or change matchups.
