2/25/17 | 9:20PM: According to Larry Brooks, three sources have told him in the past few days that whenever anyone tries to talk trade with the Rangers they ask for JT Miller. (NY Post)
Brooks writes that in response to those requests, Jeff Gorton and the Rangers are being told, "no, thank you." (NY Post)
He writes that Miller has the "greatest multi-dimensional upside in the organization." (NY Post)
Adam Rotter: I think that Miller is untouchable and short of a deal to land McDavid, Matthews, Doughty, Ekblad, etc, the Rangers should not move him. When it comes to Miller, the key to me, is how you can see his progression from season to season. He continues to build on his game year after year and that is the mark of a player that you shouldn't trade.
At some point, if the Rangers want to land an impact defenseman via trade, the Rangers will have to trade someone to get that player. Miller though should not be the player traded and I think that the Rangers should do everything they can to try and lock him up with an extension this July 1.
