Filip Chytil will make his preseason debut for the Rangers tonight and is expected
to skate between Jimmy Vesey and Adam Tambellini.

Alain Vigneault said that he is "real anxious" to see how Chytil will play tonight and said that has looked strong during practice.
Vigneault added that both and he and Scott Arniel have realized that when they work 1 on 1 with Chytil he understands what is being discussed but that he sometimes gets lost during big video sessions.
Scott Arniel is expected to sit with Chytil today to go over things and fellow Czech, and backup goalie, Ondrej Pavelec will join them to make sure things aren't lost.
Vigneault said "it will be fine and Pavs will be there in the next couple of days. I'm sure he will pick it up and understand."
Vigneault said this morning about Chytil that the Rangers want him to "show his skill. We haven't had the opportunity to see him because of his injury and he has only had a couple of practices. So far in practice we have seen a highly skilled, really good skater. He will get the opportunity, his first NHL game and he will remember that for the rest of his life."

Adam Rotter: Chytil is really interesting because he didn't play in Traverse City, has just turned 18 and has multiple options of where he can play this season. Unless he blows people away in the preseason and forces the Rangers into keeping him, I don't expect Chytil to be with the Rangers this season. He's an enormous part of the Rangers future and probably better off working to get stronger this season and making a run at the roster next season. Injuries could potentially happen anywhere at any time but the last thing the Rangers need is to have him get hurt and miss time in the NHL because he isn't physically ready for it.
