The Rangers have called up forwards Matt Belsekey and Steven Fogarty from Hartford.
From the Rangers release:
- Fogarty, 24, has skated in 60 AHL games with the Wolf Pack this season, registering nine goals and 10 assists for 19 points, along with 20 penalty minutes.
- He has established AHL career-highs in several categories in 2017-18, including goals, shorthanded goals (two), game-winning goals (two), and shots on goal (84).
- Fogarty leads Hartford in shorthanded goals this season.
- Selected by the Rangers in the third round, 72nd overall, of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
Beleskey was acquired as part of the Rick Nash trade and has 5 goals and 7 assists in 35 AHL games between Hartford and Providence.
Beleskey has two more years left on his deal with a cap hit of $1.9 million since the Bruins are retaining half of his salary.
