7/1/18 | 12:32PM: Michael Grabner announced on twitter that he was heading to Arizona as a UFA.
Adam Rotter: This is a good deal for Grabner and one that he deserved after one and a half overachieving seasons with the Rangers. Grabner does more than just score but at that price he will certainly be expected to score. At the price the Rangers signed Grabner to two-years ago it would have been fine if he killed penalties, played a two-way game and only scored 10 goals on his numerous chances. With a three-year commitment and over three-million per season, Grabner can still use his speed, kill penalties and play a two-way game, but there will be much more pressure on him to score and add offense.

6:05PM According to Craig Custance, the Rangers and Michael Grabner have not yet talked about bringing the forward back to the Rangers.
Grabner signed a two-year deal with the Rangers in 2016 that had a cap hit of $1.65 million.
The Rangers traded Grabner around the trade deadline to New Jersey for a second round pick and prospect Yegor Rykov. The Rangers used that second round pick to help them move up in the draft to select K'Andre Miller.
Custance says that Grabner is drawing a lot of interest and that there are 10 teams in the mix.
