Henrik Lundqvist has been named as the Rangers representative for the NHL All-Star game.
This will be Lundqvist's fourth All-Star appearance (2009, 2011, 2012)
This season Lundqvist is 19-10-4 with a GAA of 2.52 and save percentage of .924.
Lundqvist will be joined on the Metro team by Josh Bailey, Sidney Crosby, Claude Giroux, Taylor Hall, Alex Ovechkin, John Tavares, Noah Hanifin, Seth Jones, Kris Letang, Braden Holtby and being coached by Barry Trotz.
Adam Rotter: Lundqvist is really the only option to be an All-Star for the Rangers but I bet the team would prefer he take the weekend to rest, relax and prepare for the stretch run. Instead he will be in Tampa playing in a skills competition and then 3 on 3 games. He definitely deserves to go, I just wish there was someone else worth it that could have been chosen.
