Henrik Lundqvist met with the media on MSG following the Rangers loss to the Devils and said:
- On staying positive with the amount of shots they had, "it was tough, definitely tough. It's important for me to stay calm but it's hard at times...we gave away the puck a lot and I am happy we got a point. We battled at times but we gotta be better in a game like this, an important game against a team right ahead of us. We need to take a good look in the mirror, we have to be better in the next game because we are playing another really good team. We managed, when we were hot, the few moments we had, we cashed in. We found ways to get a point in a game where we didn't do that many good things. You gotta give Jersey credit, they played well and had good speed. It felt like they wanted it more."
- "we all have to own up to it and answer on Saturday. We will talk about it and learn from it but it happens sometimes. It's a lot of games but there is no excuse, we need to be better and we all know that. We found a way to get a point and get closer, in OT we get an opportunity on the PP but we didn't get it done. Let's move on. It was a game where we couldn't match their intensity."
- "there were stretches, we had tough times getting pucks out and helped them create big chances but we had stretches where we held onto pucks and changed the momentum. You know it's going to change, it's not going to be the same for 60 0r 65 minutes. You just have to battle, the guys battle and it was just not our night and it was hard for us to get our game going. The intensity they had and commitment to their game plan was good."
