On NBCSN after the game, Henrik Lundqvist spoke with Pierre McGuire and said:
- On the past 24 hours, "last night you quickly analyze the game and we all felt that we needed to do more to win a hockey game. It doesn't matter who you are playing, top team or bottom team, it comes down to desperation and how badly you want it. Quickly analyze it on the train, you start to think about today and what to do to have success. Every time that we come into this building, it's intense games, physical, they are fun. I like this building. We don't really like each other, we have played so many big games in the past, Outdoor Game and it's always a challenge. Their top line is so skilled and moves the puck well."
- On his play in Philly, "It's a team thing. We have good structure and we know playing this team, the skill that they have and that if you don't have the structure it's going to be a tough night. As a goalie it helps to know when your D-men are in the right spot and forwards are coming back to help out. So many things we lacked last night we had tonight. It starts with how hard you work and determination and coming into this game we wanted to prove to ourselves that we were better than what we showed last night."
- How good are the Rangers, "it's a good question. We haven't been able to pull off a Minnesota or Columbus, record like that where we win so many games in a row but we have managed to respond really well after a loss and put together 3, sometimes 4 wins and then take a step back. The big thing is that we know we have to respond after a bad game and we have done so. That is why we are in the hunt but there are definitely things we can do better but so far I think it's been a pretty good season."
