On Hockey Night in Canada on Saturday:
- Elliotte Friedman said, "Ryan McDonagh is one of the biggest names on the market right now, a lot of teams are looking at Boston and saying a) they can do it, we've mentioned Tampa, and b) there could be a fit on the left side of the Boston defense."
- Nick Kypreos said, "Joe Resnick may be the most popular agent the next few weeks because he has the hottest and biggest fish in the trade market in Rick Nash. It appears that Nashville seems to be leading the charge in interest for Rick Nash, followed by Dallas. It's not necessarily a money thing with him in terms of their interest in maybe re-signing him, we know he has made almost $90 million in his career so it's really a chance to win a Stanley Cup."
- Host David Amber said that "Nash in Nashville makes sense to me."
Adam Rotter: Boston won't trade him, and shouldn't, but if the Bruins want Ryan McDonagh than the Rangers need to demand Charlie McAvoy. Jake DeBrusk could also be an option, and Boston does have a variety of good prospects, but McAvoy has the potential to be a Ryan McDonagh-type and that is what the Rangers need to get in return.
